Protein Cookie Dough Bark
I shared this recipe on my Instagram and it was a huge hit! It comes together in a snap and is the perfect afternoon sweet treat that won’t wreck your goals!
What you’ll need:
2 cups of oats, blended in a mixer until more of a fine powder ( I use GF oats)
1 scoop vanilla protein (I use EquipFoods - discount THEWELLNESSZENA)
½ cup and melted and slightly cooled coconut oil
¼ cup maple syrup
optional: 1 tsp vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract
pinch of salt
¼ cup mini chocolate chips
Topping:
1 cup or so dark chocolate, melted for the topping
Sea salt flaked on top of melted chocolate layer
What to do:
blend the oats and protein together into a fine powder
incorporate all the ingredients except mini chocolate chips, once combined fold them in
line a cooking sheet with parchment paper
evenly spread the mixture on the cooking sheet
melt dark chocolate chips (a little spoon of coconut oil helps to prevent burning)
pour it over the mixture, then sprinkle flakey sea salt on top
pop into the freezer until firm
cut up into pieces and store in a glass container in the fridge!
