Tummy Tuck Update

Hello Hello!

Friends, I am 4.5 months post tummy tuck and I want to share a check in.

I feel absolutely amazing! I am close to 100%, still slow with a few exercises and getting up and down from core work, but slowly but surely I’m getting there. I do still swell after I exercise, but that is normal for several months post surgery.

My scar is looking amazing! My belly button (it’s my belly button and is why i have a small vertical scar also) is looking really good as swelling goes down. I started using Silagen Scar Tap once my incisions were completely closed, I think I waited 4 weeks? That product really helped with keeping the scar down.

I have also been very diligent with massaging the incisions and using my red light. I use the Fringe Red Light Panel (click that link and use code THEWELLNESSZENA to save) daily and I believe that has helped minimize my scar as well. When I massage the scar, which I do daily after my shower, I use a Vitamin E oil and I love it! I end up using it all over my body and I feel my skin looks better because of it!

Here are some pictures. Please not my body and hips are very boxy, I will never have an hourglass figure, it’s just not how I am built!

The pain is so temporary, and yes it take time to get back in the swing of things. You have to listen to your body and not rush healing! I believe me being fit going into the surgery drastically helped. Good diet, high fiber intake, collagen and colostrum daily, red right, scar tape and massage with Vitamin E oil is working for me. I also had a very skilled surgeon who did incredible work!
